Yes. The scheduling engine treats multi-contract coexistence as the default, not the exception. Each operator is linked to their CBA (max weekly hours, night premiums, rest minimums) and the AI checks every shift proposal against the applicable contract. If a shift violates even one contractual constraint, publishing is blocked with the specific regulatory reference (e.g. Italian D.Lgs. 66/2003 Art.7, CBA Art.14).

A typical pilot covers 1 department, 4 crews, 4-6 weeks. Initial onboarding (import workforce registry, skills, fitness, contracts) takes 2-3 days. Full deployment after a successful pilot happens in 2-4 additional weeks. Central IT involvement is not required — a shift leader and a plant HR contact are sufficient.

Each operator has a structured fitness profile: full or partial medical fitness (with specific restrictions), machine certifications (e.g. overhead crane, forklift, stamping line), qualifications with expiry dates and automatic alerts. The AI considers all these constraints in assignment proposals and automatically flags upcoming expirations.

Every AI decision generates an explanation card with 5-7 verifiable criteria: required certification and validity, medical fitness, rest hours respected, skill covered, weekly hour limit, crew rotation pattern. This card is exportable as PDF and was designed to satisfy the algorithmic transparency requirements demanded by Italian unions and the EU AI Act.

Data resides on EU infrastructure (European data centers). The system implements RBAC, logging of every access and change, configurable retention policies and full data export on request. The audit trail includes every AI proposal, every shift leader decision, every override with reason. D.Lgs. 66/2003 compliance is automatically verified on every shift proposal.
